Round table and public action within the project Regional Inclusive Initiative of Serbia

Mediated by Association of Students with Disability, Youth Office Novi Pazar, Association of Educationalists of Sanjak and Association of Psychologists Novi Pazar, organized a meeting today during which the topic of improving the status of the youth with disabilities was discussed. The meeting was attended by representative of local municipality, youth and association representatives. The result of the meeting was connecting institutions and youth organizations with the goal of improving the status of the young individuals with disabilities in our community. After the meeting, volunteers from youth organizations, carried out a public action ,,Uključi se i ti” where random passers-by had an opportunity to put themselves in shoes of a disabled person and thus understand the barriers of the society. The meeting and the public action are part of the project ,,RIOIS 2016 – Regional Inclusive Youth Initiative of Serbia” supported by Ministry of Youth and Sport of Republic of Serbia, and which aims to include young individuals in youth life, establish practical support youth disabled youth through Association’s work, develop inclusive practice in youth organizations and organize support services within them.
